Chris Alderman

Chris Alderman
Chris was introduced to theater by reading Shakespeare at a young age, because no one had the good sense to tell him not to. While perhaps causing his early social downfall, “A Midsummer Nights Dream” gave Chris his first dream of performing. He’s acted on stages throughout Utah, from Cedar City to Logan, and many stages in between. When not onstage, Chris has been involved in street theater, juggling, fire performance, haunted houses, historical recreation groups, and even teaching children in various volunteer organizations. He has performed with the Jesters Royale since September of 2008, and is grateful to every member of the troop for sharing the amazing experience with him!

When not performing, Chris works a fancy job that lets him talk a lot by day, and spends his free time learning as much as he can about whatever catches his fancy, playing with his standard poodle, and loving his awesome girlfriend.

Brittany Bailey

Brittany Bailey
Brittany is what people would call "a Performer".  Being born in the land of movie stars and Mickey Mouse, that is no real surprise. Brittany is pretty much like everyone's personal TV show...only LIVE!  She spends most of her time (when not balancing school and work) shooting photography, spending time with her awesome family, learning to play the guitar, watching movies with her roommate, holding dance parties in the kitchen, singing in the shower (actually singing just about anywhere), and taking care of her beloved turtle, Evo Shandor.

Nerdy? Why yes, Brittany finds herself a fan of anything that could be considered "nerdy" whether it's video games (Lego Batman is her favorite), Superheros (Actual Batman is her favorite), Sci Fi TV shows (mostly Doctor Who), and movies (Star Wars, enough said!) She is curently a student at Salt Lake Community College preparing to become a Physical Therapist Assistant and is employed at The University of Utah Hospital working as a physical therapy aide, and she loves EVERY second of it!

Liz Bosen

Liz Bosen
Like our American Icon Coca Cola, Liz is also classic, original, and delicious. When she is not saving the World as Batman's sidekick Robyn (yes with a Y) She kicks some A with her knockin CAVS. When she isn't using capital letters to illustrate what she's thinking, she likes to listen to music, act, and sleep. So simple enough Improv would come as a natural love of hers, because you can B.S. and entertain all while wearing your sneakers. Something that even Batman and Chuck Taylor can approve of.

Stephen Bradford

Stephen Bradford
Stephen Bradford is probably just about the most attractive person you’ll ever meet.  It’s true:  with penetrating eyes, a baritone purr, and a smile straight out of a toothpaste commercial, he’s like a supermodel.  Of course, with his unkempt hair and overall terrible fashion sense, he’s more like a budget supermodel, but you get what you pay for.

Oh, and ladies, get a load of this:  when not performing with the Jesters Royale, Stephen writes and publishes poetry.  So he’s sensitive, too.  AND ambitious:  Stephen aspires to be crowned poet-king of improv comedy.  We’re not sure exactly how many people are vying for the title, but Stephen’s probably a shoo-in (as long as there aren’t more than four).

Emily Carlile

Emily Carlile
"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players..." - Shakespeare.  Emily Carlile has pizza been falling off the world stage for as long as anyone has been watching. PIZZA

Jacob Clark

Jacob Clark
Jacob has been living an unscripted life for as long as he can remember, so making the transition to unscripted theatre seemed a very natural choice for him.  A customer service representative and student by day, and actor by night, Jacob has never been happier than to be on stage almost every weekend with such a talented group of people.  He likes to think he is a regular performer in the "real, scripted" shows at the Empress and abroad, but that remains to be seen.  Jacob just returned from serving in the Canada Montreal Mission where he also likes to think that he learned French but that, as well, remains to be seen.  He enjoys playing the piano and watching The Office in what little spare time he has.  God bless America!

Brady Flanagan

Brady Flanagan
Brady Flanagan is truly a world renowned super hero.  Besides the usual saving people and hunting evil, he also has a natural knack for underwater basket weaving.  When describing Brady, the words "freaking awesome" prove to be a gross understatement.

Aldo Gomez

Aldo Gomez
Aldo has been in theater since 2005 thanks to his high school theater class taught by Sherry Smith. Ever since that fateful day of stepping into theater, Aldo has had a solid amount of 4 continuous years performing, studying, teaching and all-around loving Improvisational Comedy. Aldo started Improv in high school and did that for all 3 years, the last year overlapped with his starting as part of the beginning of Jesters Royale. Apart from Improv, Aldo has also graced the stage in several productions such as Baptista and Grumio in separate productions of Taming of the Shrew, Glad Hand in West Side Story, A Jester, A Ghostbuster, and a Disaster Victim named Juan. Apart from the Stage, he also does several things backstage such as technical crew and a Sound Designer for shows like Seussical the Musical and Big Bad Musical. He dreams of one day directing and writing a play for the stage...

Ladies, He is also single.

Blake True Heywood

Blake True Heywood
As an infant Blake was shot into outerspace by his loving parents who were trying to save him from a dying planet. Blake finally landed here on earth in a small township called Magna Utah. He there discovered the Empress Theatre and the Jesters Royale improv team. He also discovered that he had super human abilities such as acting and doing improv (not to mention super human strength, heat vision, and the ability to fly). Blake has been involved in the performing arts for most of his existence. His favorite and most demanding roles have been Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Jester in Once Upon A Mattress, Reverend Shaw Moore in Footloose, Brad Allen in Pillow Talk, Smudge in Forever Plaid, and the director for Wait Until Dark. Blake is a true actor and improv superhero.

Blake spends part of his time educating himself on the best possible procedures to save the earth from destruction using digital media. He has only one weakness, and he encounters this weakness cleaning toxic nuclear waste (kryptonite) off the backside of infant human beings. Blake has settled down with a beautiful earth woman and he loves the time he spends with her. When he is not with her he is off on the stage bringing improv and comedy to the hearts of theater goers, and is seen fighting for truth, justice, and the comedian way.

Dax Levine

Dax Levine
Dax Levine was born a happy baby upon a seafaring ship in the Pacific Ocean. One beautiful morning, bloodthirsty Pirates attacked the ship and marooned baby orphan Dax on a small, Japanese Island. He was found by the elders of the local monastery who adopted him and trained him in their ninjutsu ways. Upon reaching the highest tier of ninja training, Dax left the monastery to brave the open seas where he was, once again, attacked by pirates. Rather than just killing everybody, Dax concealed his ninja identity and was taken on as a pirate apprentice. Over the years, he clawed his way to the top of the pirate hierarchy until he was first mate. When the mutinous crew slaughtered the captain, they came after Dax. With the grace of a dragonfly kissing the water, Dax slew the entire pirate crew.  He then recruited a new crew and traveled forth across the world, hunting down and assassinating sparkly vampires.

Manelle Oliphant

Manelle Oliphant
Manelle draws stuff. Sometimes she stops drawing stuff, and climbs out of her drawing cave to stare at people and do improv comedy on the Empress stage. Then she goes back, and draws more stuff. Fall is her favorite season.

Keri Taylor

Keri Taylor
Keri has been acting most of her life and loves being on stage.  She has a sincere passion for improv that has kept her involved on different teams for the last 8 years, and she loves being a Jester!  Even when she's not on stage, she is becoming characters or speaking in random voices.  Ker-Bear loves to help brighten others' days with a smile or laughter.

Being a Jester is fitting for Keri, she is always found juggling too many things at once!  By day a Chemistry student at the U, by evening a Case Manager, and by night an improviser!  Somehow she still seems almost always full of energy (perhaps her love of sweets explains this). Her favourite colours are blue and green, and other favourites are as random as her!
